Red & gold bow tie

This verel de belval silk was supposed to be used for furnishing and upholstery. But with its medium weight and sturdiness it is perfect for keeping the shape of a butterfly. Royal colours of red and gold make the bow tie sophisticated and bold through the rectangular pattern. The origami butterfly is made out of a single square of fabric. It is carefully cut, sewn, pressed, folded and sewn again to create a beautiful symmetrical and balanced shape.
